9th October, 2015 Statutory Instruments 247 GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBIA STATUTORY INSTRUMENT NO.74 OF 2015 The Lands Act (Laws, Volume 12, Cap. 184) The Lands (Customary Tenure) (Conversion) (Amendment) Regulations, 2015 IN EXERCISE of the powers contained in section thirty one of the LandsAct, the following Regulations are made: 1. (1) These Regulationsmay be cited as the Lands (Customary Tenure) (Conversion) (Amendment) Regulations, 2015, and shall be read as one with the Lands (Customary Tenure) (Conversion) Regulations, 1996, in these Regulations referred to as the principal Regulations. (2) These Regulations shall come into effect on 10th October, 2015. 2. The principal Regulations are amended by the insertion immediately after regulation 4, of the following: 5. A person who converts land from customary tenure to leasehold tenure shall pay the lease charges specified in the Lands (Ground Rent, Fees and Charges) Regulations, 2006. 3. The principal Regulations are amended by the renumbering of regulations 5 and 6 as regulations 6 and 7 respectively. EDGAR C.
