These Regulations may be cited as the Lands and Deeds Title Registry (Amendment) Regulations, 2013, and shall be read as one with the Lands and Deeds Registry Regulations, in these Regulations Cap. 185 referred to as the ·principal Regulations. 2. The First Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended (a) by the deletion of Category I and the substitution therefor of the following: CATEGORY I Registration fees in respect of assignments, transfers and other similar documents shall be calculated on the value of the property at the rate of one percent, except that the maximum fee payable shall not be more than fifteen thousand kwacha; and Amendment of First Schedule Copies of this Statutory Instrument can be obtained from the Government Printer, P.O. Box 30136, 10101, Lusaka, Price Kl.00 each 416 Statutory Instruments 21st June, 2013 (b) by the deletion of Category II and the substitution there LUSAKA for of the following: CATEGORY II The fees charged under this category shall be pay­ able in respect of documents relating to mortgages, debentures, charges, further charges agriculture charges, guarantees, covenants, floating charges and similar documents and shall be calculated on the amount secured or guaranteed at the rate of one per­ cent, except that the maximum fee payable shall not be more than four thousand kwacha. 18th June, 2013 [ML.64/95] DR.
