S CHEDULE D ef i n i t i on s 1 . In t h es e reg u la t i on s “the Act” means the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972 (Act N o. 5 4 o f 1 9 72 ) an d an y ex pres si o n t o which a meaning has been assigned in the Act shall bear s uch meani n g. 2 . F or t he p urp os es o f s ec t i on 2(1 ) (b ) ( i) o f t h e A ct i n s o far as it is applied and applicable to fo od s tu ffs, any foo d st u ffs l i st ed i n th e An n ex u re t o t h ese regulations shall be deemed to be con t ami n at ed, i mp u re o r d ecayed or harmful or injurious to human health if it contains the metals l ead , co p per , m ercu ry, z in c , cadm i um , a rs en ic, tin and antimony in amounts greater than the amo u nt s in d ica t ed o pp o si t e t h e re l ev ant fo od s tu ff in t he An n ex u re to these regulations. 3 . R eg u la t i on s 3(2 ) o f th e reg ul a t i on s made under the repealed Food, Drug and Disinfectants Act, 1 92 9 (A ct N o. 1 3 o f 19 3 9) , as p ub l ished by Government Notice No. 575 of 28 March 1930 and amen ded by Go v ern ment Notices Nos. R . 838 of 7 June 1957 and R. 3228 of 5 September 1969, is h ereb y d el e t ed .
