2 No. 13074 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, 15 MARCH 1991 No. R. 576 15 March 1991 MARKETING ACT, 1968 (ACT No. 59 OF 1968) PROHIBITION ON THE SALE OF WHEATEN PRODUCTS I, Jacob de Villiers, Minister of Agriculture, acting under section 84 of the Marketing Act, 1968 (Act No. 59 of 1968), hereby (a) declare that, no person shall sell any wheaten products as defined in the said Act, in the Republic (i) unless the wheaten product concerned is sold according to such classes as may be prescribed in respect thereof by regulation under section 89 of the said Act and specified in the Schedule hereto; (ii) unless the wheaten product concerned complies with the standards thus prescribed for the composition thereof, and contains the ingredients and other sub­ stances thus prescribed as ingredients and other sub . ;tances which it shall contain; (iii) unless the wheaten product concerned is marked , with particulars and in a manner thus prescribed; (b) empower the Director of the Directorate of Plant and Quality Control of the Department of Agriculture to grant written exemption to any person, on such condi­ tions as the said Director may determine, from the operation of the prohibition set out in paragraph (a); and (c) repeal Government Notice No. R. 1242 of 7 June 1 S85 with ettect from the date of publication hereof. No. R. 576 15 Maart 1991 BEMARKINGSWET, 1968 (WET No. 59 VAN 1968) VERBOD OP DIE VERKOOP VAN KORING­ PRODUKTE Ek, Jacob de Villiers, Minister van Landbou, hande­ lende kragtens artikel 84 van die Bemarkingswet, 1968 (Wet No. 59 van 1968) (a) verklaar hiermee dat niemand enige koringpro­ dukte soos in genoemde Wet omskryf, in die Republiek mag verkoop nie (i) tensy die betrokke koringproduk verkoop word volgens die klasse wat by regulasie kragtens artikel 89 van genoemde Wet ten opsigte daarvan voorgeskryf is en in die Bylae hierby vermeld word; (ii) tensy die betrokke koringproduk voldoen aan die standaarde aldus voorgeskryf vir die samestelling daarvan, en die bestanddele en ander stow.s•e bevat wat aldus voorgeskryf is as bestanddele en ander stowwe wat di! moet bevat; (iii) tensy die betrokke koringproduk gemerk is met besonderhede en op 'n wyse aldus voorgeskryf; (b) magtig hiermee die Direkteur van die Direktoraat Plant- en Gehaltebeheer van die Departement van Landbou om aan enige persoon skriftelik, op die voor­ waardes wat genoemde Direkteur bepaal, vrystelling van die werking van die verbod in paragraaf (a) uiteengesit, te verleen; en (c) herroep hiermee Goewermentskennisgewing No. R. 1242 van 7 Junie 1985 met ingang van die datum van publikasie hiervan.
