Closure of Upungu Reef Kitanga Reef and Dambwe Reeffrom fishing Activities GOVER-"JMENT NOTICE No. 625 published on 911 011998 THE FISHERIES ACT, 1970 (No.6 OF 1970) ORDER Made under section 4 CLOSURE OF UPANGU REEF, KITANGA REEF AND DAMBWE REEF FROM FISWING ACTIVITIES, ORDER, 1998 1. This order may be cited as the closure of Upangu reef, Kitanga reef and Dambwe reef order of 1998 and shall be deemend to have come into operation on the first day of December, 1997 and be valid for a period of one year until 30th November, 1998. 2. The reefs located in Tanga, Muheza and Pangani districts whose coordinates are specified in the Schedule to this Order shall be closed for fishing activities, for the period specified in paragraph 1. SCHEDULE UPANGU REEFINMUHEZADISTRICT The closed area is described by a line that originates at Latitude 05° 18'29"S, Longitude 039° 04'22"E and proceeds in a westerly direction to Latitude 05° 18'29"S, Longitude 039° 05'29"E, thence in a South Easterly direction 039° 04'56''E, thence easterly to Latitude 05° 19'13"S Longitude 0390 04'22"E and then northerly the point of origin. KITANGA REEFINMUHEZADISTRICT The area' from Latitude 05° 17'00"S Longitude 0390 04'05"E, and proceeds in a south easterly direction to Latitude 05° 17'30"S, Longitude 039° 04'37"E, thence in a South West to Latitude 05° 18'03"S, Longitude 039° 04'24"E and thence North West to Latitude 05° 17'32"S, Longitude 039° 03'52"E and then follows the highest water mark to the point of origin. DAMBWEREEF (pANGANI DISTRICT) That area originating from Latitude 05° 37'33"S.
