1. A person may only objec t to the issue of a licence to engage in petroleum operations on the ground that it is inconsistent with , or would interfere with , rights held by him under tho Petroleum Act, section 8(1).

2. Objec tion to a licence shall be made in triplicate and lodged with the Minister within thirty days of the pu blication of the notice of ap plication for the licen ce.
