No. 116(8.E.2531(1988)) UNOF'F'lClAL Ro standards of Food cont8ninat8d· with Radioactivity (No.2). * * * * * Whereas i t is deemed expedient t o amend the practi ce in issuing certificate of safety concerning the stati ng of level of radioactive quantity so that i t be more suitable , By virtue of Section 5 and Section 6(3) of the food Act B.E .2522(1979), the Minister of Pu9lic He9lth hereby noti fies that : No . 1. Tho provisions of No 1 3 of the Noti f icntion of toe Ministr y of Public Health No. 102 (B.E.2529 (1986)) Re Stan­ dar <1s of Food Cont?.minated with Radi oac t ivity dated 18th Novem­ ber 1986 shall be repealed und replaced by the -following : ''No. 3. For the pur pose of cont.rel of food und~r No. l, specifically those imported i:nto the Kingdcrn ► the Food and Drug Administration shall have the powor to prescribe categories and types of food tho importers thereof must produce a c ertificate of saf~ty stating the level of quantity pf radioactivity i n the form of Cesium-137 (Cs-137) of such food , whi ch ia issued by : (1) Authority of the country of ori gin, or (2) ?rivate institute recognizod by th~ Author ity of t he country of origin, whoreby the said cer­ tifi cate sha~l be produced at the CustQns House where the food is i mpor ted."
