Resolution No. 21 of 1965 on marine fishing areas of the Syrian Arab Republic

Syrian Arab Republic Ministry of Defense General Directorate of Ports, License and Fishery Directorate. The Director General of Ports Resolution Nr. / 21 I According to Legislative Decree No. 30, dated 25/8/1964, concerning the protection of water biology and according to the 5th Article of the resolution No. 460, dated 29/3/65, concerning the organization of marine fishing, and for the public good, decides the following: Article 1: The marine fishery areas of the Syrian Arab Republic Coast will be devided into the following divisions: A- Lattakia region, between the Turkish boarders up to the mouth of the River Rous. B- Jableh region, between the mouth of the River Rous up to Arab El-Moulk. C- Banias region, between Arab El-Moulk up to the mouth of the Marquiye river. D-.Tartous and Arwad region, between the mouth of the Marquiye river up to the Lebanese boarders. Article 2: The mentioned regions will be devided into the following fishing areas: A- Lattakia Region: * Al-Baseet :fishing area, between Quara Douran village on the Turkish up to Wadi Kandeel. * Salib Tarkman and Bourj Islam :fishing area, between Wadi Kandeel up to Ras EI-F asery. * Ibn Hani fishing area, between Ras El-Fasery up to Ras Ebn Hani. B- Jebleh Region: * Rous Fishing area, between the mouth of the Rous river and Jebleh. * Jebleh fishing area, between Jebleh up to Tel Soukas. * Tell Soukas fishing area, between Tel Soukas up to Arab El-Malek. C- Banias Region: * Arab El-Malek fishing area, between Arab El-Malek up to Banias. * Banias fishing area, between Banias up to Bas-Kouneitra. * Kouneitra fishing area, between kouneitra up to the mouth of the Marquiye River. D- Tartous and Arwad Region: Article 3: * Bouseira fishing area, between the mouth of Marquiye river up to the mouth of the Hussein River. * Tartous fishing area, between the mouth of the Husein river and Mantar. * Hamidiyae fishing area, between Mantar up to Arab El-Shate. * Arab El-Shate fishing area, between Arab El-Shate up to the Lebanese boarders. * Arwad fishing area. All those who work in fishing in these regions should abide to all the laws and legislation executed by the general Directorate of Ports.
