This Act may be cited as the Breadfruit and Other Trees (protection) Act. 2. In this Act the word "destroy" includes fell, cut, bark or mutilate but shallnot includeany lopping or paring or any other act which shall be for the benefit ofthe tree so treated. 3. Any person who shalldestroy or cause to be destroyed any ofthe trees specified in the schedulewhether on hisown property or on the property ofany other person. without having received the written permissionofthe Chief ofAgricultural Officer so to do, shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding fifty Rupees for each tree destroyed, in addition to three times the value ofeach tree. 4.
