Statute of the State Control of the Use and Protection of Bodies of Water (Decree No. 716 of 1997)

Date: 16 June 1997 Statute of State Control of the Use and Protection of Bodies of Water Decree No. 716 of 16 June 1997 of the Government of the Russian Federation 1. The present Statute, pursuant to the RF Water Code, shall determine the rules of exercising state control of the use and protection and bodies of water. 2. The task of state control of the use and protection of bodies of water shall consist in ensuring compliance by legal and natural persons with the rules established by legislation for the use and protection of bodies of water; with the standards, normals and rules in the use and protection of bodies of water; with the regime of use of territories of water-protection zones of bodies of water, and with other requirements of RF water legislation.
