Republic of ~he Philippines Departme~t of Agr:iculture OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY ' Elliptical Road, Diliman I Quezon City 1 1100 Philippines 1 1 July 2019 I ' DA ADMINISTRATIVE Cil{CULAR NO. 0 W I Series of 2019 SUBJECT • • SYS11EM ACCREDITATION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF NEwj ZEALAND AS EXPORTER OF FROZEN AND CHILLED BEEF, POULTRY, AND OVINE MEAT INTO THE PHILIPPINES I ' I WHEREAS, Department d,f Agriculture Administrative Order No. 16 (DA-AO 16) Series of 2006, otherwise known as the Pre-Border Measures ·-for t he Export of Meat and Meat I Products to the Philippines provides procedures and guidelines in the accreditation of ' Foreign Meat Establishm~nts (FMEs) producing meat and meat products for export to the Philippines; • ' WHEREAS, the representative .FMEs in the Government of New Zealand were I inspected/audited by the IDA Inspection Mission (DAIM) and were found to comply with the Philippine quarantine ~nd meat inspection systems procedures; ' . i WHEREAS, the Government of New Zealand has complied with the requirements I provided in the Terrestrial Animal Health Code of the World Organization for Animal Health (Office lnternationdl des Epizooties-OlE); WHEREAS, after thoroug~ evaluation, the application of the Government of New Zealand for system accreditation to export beef, poultry, and ovine meat into the Philippines has been found to be satisfactqry and acceptable; I • WHEREAS, through Accreditation Review Body Resolution No. 2019-001 dated March 4, 2019 recommend the syJtem accreditation of New Zealand to export beef, poultry and ovine meat products under the following 2017 AHTN code: (ANNEX PROVIDED) I NOW, THEREFORE, I, EMMANU-EL F. PINOL, Secretary of Agriculture, by the powers vested in me by law, do ~ereby issue tl1is Circular granting system accreditation to the Government of New Z~aland to export beef, poultry and ovine meat into the Philippines. ,. 'fhis accreditation shall ~e valid until 03 June 2022 with full compliance to existing regulations anu--... ondition~ provided in this Circular and its Annex hereby set forth.
