(2) The cancellation took effect at the end of 13 April 2017. 6 New appointment (1) The Minister for Primary Industries has appointed Rewiri Waaka as a Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana. Explanatory note This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect. This notice is made under the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998 (the regulations). It comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Te Papatapu Marae/Ngā Hapū o Aotea Moana. The area/rohe moana is from Matawha Point to Kahua Point, and includes Aotea Harbour. Notice is given of the cancellation of the appointment of a Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana and the appointment of a replacement. The Minister for Primary Industries cancelled the appointment and made the replacement appointment at the re quest of Te Papatapu Marae.
