(2) The cancellation took effect at the end of 30 April 2017. 6 New appointment (1) The Minister for Primary Industries has appointed Hero Potini as a Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana. (2) The appointment took effect on 1 May 2017. Dated at Wellington this 30th day of June 2017. Explanatory note This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect. This notice is made under the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998 (the regulations). It comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. This notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the Ngā Kaitiaki o Te Puaha represented by Te Awamaarahi Marae. The area/rohe moana is an area from Okarahia, at the mouth of the Waikato River, to Ngatutura Point. Notice is given of the cancellation of the appointment of a Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana and the appointment of a replacement. The Minister for Primary Industries cancelled the appointment and made the replacement appointment at the re quest of Te Awamaarahi Marae.
