EIpresents Decree hasparobjetoTo update and specify the categories and Iimites of the Protected Areas, located in the territory of Southeast Nicaragua according to 10 establishes Law No.217, General Law of theMediumAmbiente and the Na turales Reeursos, published inLaGacetaNo.1 05 of June 6, 1996; and Decree No.14-99, Regulation of Protected Areas of Nicaragua Art. 2 CATEGORIES OF THE PROTECTED AREAS. According to Artos.20, numeral 7) and 154 of the Law No.217, General Law of the Environment and Natural Resources and Artos.8, numeral 7);98 and 99, in particular of Decree No.14 99, Regulation of Protected Areas, are aetualized and precise the following categories of AreasProtected from the southeast of Nicaragua: 1. Art. SCOMISION BOOK OF BIOSFERADELSURES TE DE NICARAGUA. Art.6 FUNTIONS. It corresponds to the Comisi6n Biosphere Reserve of Southeast Nicaragua, the following functions: a) Propose policies and standards for the management and protection of the Reserve. (b)Manage financial, technical and scientific assistance for the servation, administer and manage the Reservoir; and, for the colossustainable in the Amortiguarniento Zones and in the Protected Areas that allow 10. (c) To advise the Executive Secretary of the Southeast Nicaragua Biosphere Reserve, in the application of the present Decree and in the elaboration of deproposed rules and regulations rulemen tarias. Arto.7SECRETARIAEJECUTlVA. LaDirecci6n de laReserva de Biosfera del Surestede Nicaragua corresponde a la Secretaria Ejecutivo de la misrna, la que sera conocido en futuro comoSe cretaria Ejecutivo. Article 8 FUNTIONS OF THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY. The Executive Secretary will be a member of the Ministry of the Friendship of Natural Resources and will be in charge of a Director appointed by the Minister of MARENA and who will have the following functions: (a) To direct, organize and manage the Biosphere Reserve of the Sub restede Nicaragua, coordinating the actions of theAreasProtegi dasquela integrates.
