(1) It-titolu ta’ dawn ir-regolamenti hu Regolamenti tal-2010 li jemendaw ir-Regolamenti dwar Dolċifikanti għall-Użu f’Oġġetti tal-Ikel, u għandhom jinqraw u jinfthiemu bħala ħaġa waħda mar-Regolamenti dwar Dolċifikanti għall-Użu f’Oġġetti tal Ikel, hawn aktar ’il quddiem imsejjħin “ir-regolamenti prinċipali”. (2) Dawn ir-regolamenti għandhom jidħlu fis-seħħ fit 12 ta’ Ottubru, 2010. (3) Prodotti li huma konformi mad-dispożizzjonijiet ta’ dawn ir-regolamenti jistgħu jitqiegħdu fuq is-suq mid-data tad dħul fis-seħħ ta’ dawn ir-regolamenti. 2. Dawn ir-regolamenti jimplimentaw il-provvedimenti tad Direttiva tal-Kummissjoni 2009/163/UE li temenda d-Direttiva 94/35/KE tal-Parlament Ewropew u tal-Kunsill, dwar sustanzi dolċifikanti għall-użu fl-oġġetti tal-ikel fir-rigward tan-neotame. 3. B 5186 L.N. 442 of 2010 FOOD SAFETY ACT (CAP. 449) Sweeteners for Use in Foodstuffs (Amendment) Regulations, 2010 IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 10 of the Food Safety Act, the Minister for Health, the Elderly and Community Care has made the following regulations: 1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Sweeteners for Use in Foodstuffs (Amendment) Regulations, 2010 and they shall be read and construed as one with the Sweeteners for Use in Foodstuffs Regulations, 2005, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”. (2) These regulations shall enter into force on the 12th October, 2010. (3) Products which comply with the provisions of these regulations may be marketed from the date of entry into force of these regulations. 2. These regulations implement the provisions of Commission Directive 2009/163/EU amending Directive 94/35/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, on sweeteners for use in foodstuffs with regards to neotame. 3.
