Establishment of the National Register of Traditional Agro-Food Products of Malta (Amendment) Regulations, 2017 (L.N. 62 of 2017)

VERZJONI ELETIRONIKA L.N. 62 of2017 PRODUCT SAFETY ACT (CAP. 427) Establishment of the National Register of Traditional Agro-food Products of Malta (Amendment) Regulations, 2017 IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 38 of the Product Safety Act, the Minister for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties in consultation with the Minister for Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change, has made the following regulations: B 413 1. The title of these regulations is the Establishment of the citation. National Register of Traditional Agro-food Products of Malta (Amendment) Regulations, 2017, and these regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Establishment of the National Register s.L. 427.89. of Traditional Agro-food Products of Malta Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations". 2. Regulation 3 of the principal regulations shall be amended Amends as follows: regulation 3 of the principal regulations. (a) in sub-regulation ( 1) thereof, for the words "there shall be registered a list of approved products" there shall be substituted the words "there shall be registered all approved products"; (b) in sub-regulation (2) thereof, for the words "in the above mentioned list of approved products" there shall be substituted the words "in the above mentioned Register of approved products"; ( c) in sub-regulation (3) thereof, for the words "within the list of approved products mentioned above" there shall be substituted the words "in the Register"; and ( d) sub-regulation ( 4) thereof shall be substituted by the following new sub-regulation: "(4) Starting from the date of the coming into force of these regulations and without prejudice to Regulation (EU) No 1151/2012 on quality schemes for agricultural products and foodstuffs, the inclusion of a name in the Register shall preclude any person from B 414 Adds a new regulation to the principal regulations. Immediately after regulation 13 of the principal regulations, there shall be added the following new regulation: "official Notification to the EU Commission. 14.
