Energy Labelling (Implementing Measures) Regulations, 2018 (L.N. 295 of 2018)

1. ( 1) The title of these regulations is the Energy Citation and Labelling (Implementing Measures) Regulations, 2018. implementation. (2) These regulations implement the requirements of Regulation (EU) 20 17/ 1369 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 20 17 setting a framework for energy labelling and repealing Directive 2010/30/EU.

2. For the purpose of these regulations, the following Defmitions. definition shall apply: the "Technical Regulations Division" means the Technical Regulations Division within the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority established under article 19 of the Malta Cap. 510. Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority Act.

3. The Technical Regulations Division shall be the competent Establishment authority for the purposes of Regulation (EU) No. 20 17/ 1369. ~;!;etent authority.

4. The penalties and proceedings applicable for infringement Penalties. of any of the provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 2017/1 369 shall be those provided for in Part IV of the Product Safety Act. cap. 427.
