B 4811 VERŻJONI ELETTRONIKA B 4811 L.N. 403 of 2013 ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PLANNING ACT (CAP. 504) Conservation of Wild Birds (Amendment No. 2) Regulations, 2013 BY VIRTUE of the powers conferred by article 61(1) and (2) and article 62(1) and (2) of the Environment and Development Planning Act, the Minister for Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change has made the following regulations: Citation. S.L. 504.71 1. The title of these regulations is the Conservation of Wild Birds (Amendment No. 2) Regulations, 2013, and these regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Conservation of Wild Birds Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations". Amends regulation 2 of the principal regulations. 2. In regulation 2 of the principal regulations, in the definition "organisation representing persons licensed to hunt and, or take", for the words "meeting of the organization;" there shall be substituted the words "meeting of the organization:" and immediately thereafter there shall be added the following new proviso: "Provided that the requirement for membership of an international organisation which has an observer status within the European Union Ornis Committee, and the requirement to have more than two thousand paid-up members shall only apply for an organisation represented on the Ornis Committee established under regulation 10;". Amends regulation 10 of the principal regulations. 3. In paragraph (t) of sub-regulation (6) of regulation 10 of the principal regulations, for the words "every three years," there shall be substituted the words "every six years," and for the words "the Avifauna Section" there shall be substituted the words "the Wild Birds Regulation Unit". Amends regulation 12 of the principal regulations. 4. In sub-regulation (6) of regulation 12 of the principal regulations, for the words "shall accordingly fill in the carnet de chasse immediately upon the hunting or taking of a bird." there shall be substituted the words "shall accordingly fill in the carnet de chasse upon the hunting or taking of a bird before leaving the hunting or taking site.". In item 5 of Schedule IV to the principal regulations, for the words "immediately upon a catch is made" there shall be substituted the words "before leaving the hunting or taking site".
