Ambient Air Quality (Amendment) Regulations, 2021

B 1047 B 1047 L.N. 133 of 2021 ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION ACT (CAP. 549) Ambient Air Quality (Amendment) Regulations, 2021 IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by articles 54 and 55 of the Environment Protection Act, the Minister the Environment, Climate Change, and Planning, after consultation with the Environment and Resources Authority, has made the following regulations: Citation. S.L. 549. 59. 1. The title of these regulations is the Ambient Air Quality (Amendment) Regulations, 2021 and these regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Ambient Air Quality Regulations, herein after referred to as the "principal regulations". Amends regulation 1 of the principal regulations. 2. Sub-regulation (2) of regulation 1 of the principal regulations shall be amended as follows: (a) paragraph (a) thereof shall be deleted; and (b) paragraph (b) thereof shall be renumbered as sub regulation (2) and the words ", jointly with the principal regulations, also" shall be deleted. Amends regulation 2 of the principal regulations. 3. In regulation 2 of the principal regulations, the definition "combustion plant" shall be deleted. Amends regulation 26 of the principal regulations. 4. Regulation 26 of the principal regulations shall be amended as follows: (a) sub-regulation (1) thereof shall be deleted; and (b) sub-regulation (2) thereof shall be renumbered as regulation 26 and the word "also" shall be deleted. Deletes regulations 27 and 28 of the principal regulations. 5. Regulations 27 and 28 of the principal regulations shall be deleted. Amends regulation 31 of the principal regulations. 6. In sub-regulation (1) of regulation 31 of the principal regulations, the words "31st November" shall be substituted by the words "30th September". Paragraph (b) of regulation 35 of the principal regulations shall be substituted by the following new paragraph: S.L. 549.124.
