AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 6, SUB-SECTION 6.1 OF AN ACT CREATlNOnm FORESTRY DEVBLOPMPNT AUlHORITY OF 1976 It is Nlllded by the Senate and the HOWIe of Repruentotivu of the Republic of Liberia in Legl.rlDtllTe assembled: Section 1. Section 6 of An Act Creating the Forestry Development Authority of 1976. under the caption "Board of Directors", is hereby amended to revise sub section 6.1, to read as follows: Composition: The formulation of policies aod diRotion of management of the Forestry Development Authority sball be vested in aod exercised by a Board of Directors consisting of: a) One representative each from the ministry responsible for agriculture. the ministry rcspnnst'ble for labor. aDd the ministry responsible for lands, who shalt be designated by the minister of the respective ministries but aball not be below the nmk of a deputy minister. b) Four Liberian citizens: (i) representative of the Liberian business sector; (ii) a person knowledgeable in forest operations; (iii) a representative of civil society; and (iv) an experienced individual with backgrouncl/knoWledge in agrlcuIturc or forestry. who shall serve as cbairperSOIl of the Board; all of wIaom sball be appointed by the Prcai4o'rt with the consent of the Scnato c) The Managing Direetor of the Authority sball serve as secretary of the Board but sbalI not be considered a member of the Board. s 2: That Section 6.4 of the Act creating the Foaeatly Development Authority of 1976 is hereby repealed.
