LEGAL NOTICE No. 20 THE FISHERIES ACT (Cap. 378) IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 23 of the Fisheries Act, the Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Development makes the following Regulations:— THE FISHERIES (FOREIGN FISHING CRAFT) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 2004 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Fisheries (Foreign Fishing Craft) (Amendment) Regulations, 2004. 2. The Fisheries (Foreign Fishing Craft) Regulations, 1991, are amended in the Second Schedule by deleting paragraph (a) and substituting therefor the following new paragraph. (a) The licence fees for foreign fishing craft operating in the Kenyan waters of the Indian Ocean shall be paid in foreign currency as follows: (i) Longliner's licence for— Type of licence Fee in US$ (Dollars) Twelve months 12,000 Three months 7,000 One month 5,000 (ii) Purse seiner's licence for 12 months 20,000 Dated the 15th March, 2004.
