Coffee (General) (Amendment) Rules, 2007 (L.N. No. 132 of 2007)

LEGAL NOTICE No. 132 THE COFFEE ACT (No. 9 of 2001) COFFEE (GENERAL) AMENDMENT RULES, 2007 IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Coffee Act, 2001, the Minister for Agriculture makes the following Rules – 1. These Rules may be cited as the Coffee (General) (Amendment) Rules, 2007. Sub Leg 2. The Coffee (General) Rules in these Rules referred to as the “principal Rules” are amended by deleting Rule 3. 3. The principal Rules are amended by deleting Rule 4. 4. Rule 5 of the principal Rules are amended by deleting the word “miller” and substituting therefor the word “processor”. 5. Rule 7 of the principal Rules is amended by deleting the word “milling” wherever it occurs and substituting therefor the word “processing”. 6. Rule 11 of the principal Rules is amended by deleting the words “roaster’s licence or packer’s licence” and substituting therefor the words “processor’s licence”. 7. Rule 12 of the principal Rules is amended – (a) by deleting the words “roaster, packer or blender” and substituting therefor the word “processor”; (b) by deleting the words “roasted, packed or blended” and substituting therefor the word “processed”. 8. Rule 14 is amended by deleting the words “marketing and substituting therefor the word “dealer”. 9. The First Schedule to the principal regulations is amended – (a) by deleting Form C1 and C2; (b) in Form F1 – (i) by deleting the word “miller” and substituting therefor the word “processor”; (ii) by deleting the word “milling” wherever it appears and substituting therefor the word “processing”; (iii) by deleting the word “milled” and substituting therefor the word “processed”. (c) in Form F2 by – (i) deleting the word “million” wherever it occurs and substituting therefor the word “processing”. (ii) deleting the word “milled” and substituting therefor the word “processed”. (d) in Form D1 by – (i) deleting the word “miller” wherever it occurs and substituting therefor the word “processor”. (ii) deleting the word milling wherever it occurs and substituting therefor the word “processing”; (e) in Form D2 by – (i) deleting the word “miller” wherever it occurs and substituting therefor the word “processor”; (ii) deleting the word milling wherever it appears and substituting therefor the word “processing”. (f) in Form J1 – (i) by deleting the words “Roasting/Blending/Packing” and substituting therefor the word “Processing”. (ii) by deleting the word “Roasting and Packing” wherever they occur and substituting therefor the word “processing”. (f) in Form J2 (i) by deleting the words “Packing” and substituting therefor the word “Processing”. (ii) by deleting the words “blend and pack” and substituting therefor the word “process”. (g) in Form K – (i) by deleting the words “Roaster/Blender/Packer” wherever the occur and substituting therefor the word “Processor”. (ii) by deleting the words “Roasted/Blended/Packed” and substituting therefor the word “Process”.
