mE PARTITION ACT Tbe Partition Act (Increase in Jurisdiction of Resident Magistrates) Order,20l3 In exercise ofthe powers conferred upon the Minister by section 14(2) ofthe Partition Act and ofevery other power hereunto enabling, the following Order is hereby made:­ 1. This Order may be cited as the Partition Act (Increase in Jurisdiction of Resident Magistrates) Order. 2013, and shall be read and construed as one with the Partition Act (hereinafter referred to as ''the Act") and all amendments thereto. 2. Section 14(1) ofthe Act is amended by deleting the words "four hundred and fifty thousand" and substituting therefor the words "two million". , 2013. Minister ofJustice THE PARTITION ACT The Partition Act (Increase in Jurisdiction of Resident Magistrates) Order, 2013 Resolution WHEREAS by virtue of section 14(2) ofthe Partition Act (hereinafter referred to as "the Act") the Minister may, by order subject to affirmative resolution, increase the monetary jurisdictional level ofthe Resident Magistrates Courts under section 14(1) ofthe Act: AND WHEREAS on the IS of ~~~"'I\I\.f'~ • 2013, the Minister made " the Partition Act (Increase in Jurisdiction ofResident Magistrates) Order, 2013: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Honourable House ofRepresentatives as follows:­ 1. This Resolution may be cited as the Partition Act (Increase in Jurisdiction ofResident Magistrates) Order, 2013 Resolution. 2. The Partition Act (Increase in Jurisdiction ofResident Magistrates) Order, 2013, is hereby affmned.
