THE LANDS CLAUSES ACT The Lands Clauses Ad (Increase in Jurisdiction of Resident Magistrates) Order, 2013 In exercise ofthe powers conferred upon the Minister by section 98 ofthe Lands Clauses Act and ofevery other power hereunto enabling, the following Order is hereby made:­ 1. This Order may be cited as the Lands Clauses Act (Increase in Jurisdiction ofResident Magistrates) Order, 2013, and shall be read and construed as one with the Lands Clauses Act (hereinafter referred to as ''the Act") and all amendments thereto. 2. Section 98 ofthe Act is amended by deleting the words "four hundred and fifty thousand" and substituting therefor the words "two million". Dated this \ 'S"+~ ,2013. Minister ofJustice THE LANDS CLAUSES ACT The Lands Clauses Act (Increase in Jurisdiction of Resident Magistrates) Order, 2013 Resolution WHEREAS by virtue ofsection 98 of the Lands Clauses Act (hereinafter referred to as "the Act") the Minister may, by order subject to affirmative resolution, amend the monetary jurisdictional level of the Resident Magistrates Courts: AND WHEREAS on the IS-t{of \)o,.I\w-..fj' 2013, the Minister made the Lands Clauses Act (Increase in Jurisdiction ofResident Magistrates) Order, 2013: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Honourable House ofRepresentatives as follows:­ 1. This Resolution may be cited as the Lands Clauses Act (Increase in Jurisdiction ofResident Magistrates) Order, 2013 Resolution. 2. The Lands Clauses Act (Increase in Jurisdiction ofResident Magistrates) Order, 2013 is hereby affirmed.
