[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature. ] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 28th January, 2014.] An Act to amend the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955. WuerEas it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, for West Ben. Act the purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing; of FOG, It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-fourth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:— Short title and 1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Land Reforms (Amendment) commencement. Act, 2013. (Sections 2, 3.) Amendment of section 14Z of West Ben. Act X of 1956. Amendment of section 50, 2. In section 14Z of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act),— (1) in sub-section (2), for the words, figures and brackets ‘poultry farming or dairy, or township in a Planning Area as may be permitted to be developed under the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and West Ben. Act Development) Act, 1979,’’, the words ‘‘poultry farming or dairy,’” shall *!! of 1979. be substituted; (2) in the first proviso, for the words, figures and brackets ‘‘poultry farming or dairy, or township in a Planning Area as may be permitted to be developed under the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and Development) Act, 1979,’’, the words ‘‘poultry farming or dairy,”’ shall be substituted. 3. Tosub-section (2) of section 50 of the principal Act, the following Explanation shall be added:— ‘Explanation.—For the purpose of this sub-section, the expression ‘‘duly authenticated’’ includes authentication by affixing digital signature made in accordance with the provisions of section 3 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.’.
