(No. 29) NATIONAL PARKS AND NATURE RESERVES (AMENDMENT No. 2) LAW, 5728-1968 * 1 In the National Parks and Nature Reserves Law, 5723-1963 1 ), s~ction 5 shall be replaced by the. following section : "Art:2' 5. (a) Where an area intended for a national park inJportant to includes a military area or another area which, in security. the opinion of the Minister of Defence, is important to security, or where the Minister of Defence has notified the Minister of the Interior that a military area is situated in the vicinity of an area intended as aforesaid, the Minister of the Interior shall not de clare such area to be a national park until the fulfil ment of the demands of the Minister of Defence has been ensured in respect thereof. (b) In a military area, the prohibitions and re strictions imposed by this Law or the regulations made thereunder shall not apply to the Defence Army of Israel or to any other branch of the Defence Es tablishment approved by the Minister of Defence. (c) Directions as to the conduct of soldiers in Holy Places situated in a military area which ls wholly or partly a national park shall be issued by the Minister of Defence in consultation with the Minister of Religious Affairs, and directions as to the conduct of soldiers at historical sites situated in such an area shall be issued by the Minister of De fence in consultation with the Minister of Education and Culture. Such directions shall not require pub lication in Reshumot. (d) For the purposes of this section, "military area" means immovable property in the hands of, and an area used as a training area by, the Defence Army of Israel or any other branch of the Defence Establishment approved by the Minister of Defence."
