No. 517 of 2008 EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (FOODSTUFFS) (ACCESSION OF BULGARIA AND ROMANIA) (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) REGULATIONS 2008 I, BRENDAN SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exer cise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Council Directive No. 2006/107/EC of 20 November 20061, hereby make the following Regulations 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Foodstuffs) (Accession of Bulgaria and Romania) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regu lations 2008. 2. A reference in Regulations made under the European Communities Act 1972 to Council Directive No. 89/108/EEC of 21 December 1988 is construed and has effect as if the reference is a reference to that Directive as amended by the Annex to Council Directive 2006/107/EC of 20 November 2006. 3. The European Communities (Foodstuffs) (Accession of Bulgaria and Romania) Regulations 2008 (S.I. No. 392 of 2008) is revoked. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 27 November 2008 BRENDAN SMITH.
