These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) (Amendment) Regulations 2009. 2. The European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) Regulations 2003 (S.I. No. 83 of 2003) are amended, in Regulation 2(1), by substituting for the definition of “Directive of 1991” (inserted by the European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulations 2007 (S.I. [107] 7 EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation) These Regulations transpose the amendments to Annex I of Council Directive 91/414/EEC by including the following active substances into that Annex: Bifenox, diflufenican, fenoxaprop-P, fenpropidin, quinoclamine, clofentezine, dicamba, difenoconazole, diflubenzuron, imazaquin, lenacil, oxadiazon, picloram, pyriproxyfen, tritosulfuron, diuron, abamectin, epox iconazole, fenpropimorph, fenpyroximate, tralkoxydim, flutolanil, benflura lin, fluazinam, fuberidazole, mepiquat, aclonifen, imidacloprid, metaz achlor, aluminium phosphide, calcium phosphide, magnesium phosphide, cymoxanil, dodemorph, 2,5-dichlorobenzoic acid methylester, metamitron, sulcotrione, tebuconazole, triadimenol, bensulfuron, sodium 5-nitroguai acolate, sodium o-nitrophenolate, sodium p-nitrophenolate, tebufenpyrad, several active substances and several micro-organisms as active substances. These substances are pesticides.
