Short title. This Order may be cited as the COMPULSORY STANDARDS (NO. 2) ORDER, 2018. 2. Declaration of compulsory standard. The following standard is declared a compulsory standard– GDS 1: Part 4: 2018 – Specification for Labelling of Prepackaged Foods. 3. Purpose of standard. The purpose for which the standard is intended is to prevent deceptive labelling and to protect the health of consumers. 4. Commencement.
