ACT 25 AN ACT TO FURTHER AMEND THE CENTRAL WATER AUTHORITY ACT (a) (Gazetted 17th January, 1980) BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Dciminica as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as the CENTRAL WATER AUTHORITY (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1979. 2. In this Act the Central Water Authority Act No. 33 of 1967 is referred to as the Act. 3. Subsection (1) of section 23 of the Act 1.s amended by: (a) replacing the full stop appearing after the word "Authority" in line five thereof with a colon; and (b) by inserting the following proviso inmediately after the colon: "Provided that if prior to the exer cise of the power of the revised rates, the Authority shall serve a notice, in writing, on the Minister, stating the Short title Interpreta tion. Amendment of Section 23 of the Act. proposed revision, and if within sixty (60) days of receipt of such notice the Minister approves same (or makes any variation thereof) then, notwith standing anything contained in the Public Utilities Act (b) or any other enactment, the subsisting rates shall be revised in accordance with such proposals (or any variation thereof as aforesaid) and the Minister shall cause such notice to be published in the Gazette."
