Modification du R.M. 78/99 1 Le présent règlement modifie le Règlement sur les animaux de la faune non indigènes, R.M. 78/99. 2 Section 1 is amended in the definition "director" by adding "and Ecosystem Protection" after "Director of the Wildlife". 2 La définition de « directeur », à l'article 1, est modifiée par substitution, à « Direction de la faune au », de « Protection de la faune et des écosystèmes du ». 3 Section 4 is amended by renumbering it as subsection 4(1) and by adding the following as subsection 4(2): 3 L'article 4 devient le paragraphe 4(1) et il est ajouté, après le paragraphe (1), ce qui suit : Hunting exotic wildlife on own land 4(2) A person may, for the purpose of defending or preserving his or her property, hunt, trap or capture any exotic wildlife running at large on the person's own land. Insert Date2 6 Section 6 is replaced with the following: 6 L'article 6 est remplacé par ce qui suit : Escape of exotic wildlife 6 The owner or keeper of exotic wildlife that has escaped confinement must (a) immediately report the escape to the nearest office of the Department of Conservation; (b) immediately make reasonable attempts to capture or kill the escaped animal; and (c) follow all directions given by the Department of Conservation to prevent future escapes.
