[...] Inconsistencies in regulations (3) In the event of an inconsistency between a consolidated regulation published by the Minister under this Act and the original regulation or a subse quent amendment as registered by the Clerk of the Privy Council under the Statutory Instruments Act, the original regulation or amendment prevails to the extent of the inconsistency. (1) The following definitions apply in this Marketing Authorization. “emulsifying, gelling, stabilizing or thickening agent” « agent émulsifiant, gélifiant, stabilisant ou épaississant » “emulsifying, gelling, stabilizing or thick ening agent” means a food additive that is used to (a) form or maintain a uniform emul sion of two or more phases in a food; (b) impart a particular food texture through the formation of a gel; (c) maintain a uniform dispersion of two or more ingredients in a food; or (d) modify the viscosity of a food. “List” « Liste » “List” means the List of Permitted Emulsi fying, Gelling, Stabilizing or Thickening Agents published by the Department of Health on its website, as amended from time to time. 1. (2) Dans le cas où la mention « bonnes pratiques industrielles » figure à la colonne 3, cette exemption s’applique si la quantité d’agent, ajoutée à l’aliment en cours de fa brication et de conditionnement, ne dé passe pas la quantité requise pour parvenir aux fins pour lesquelles l’agent a été ajouté et si toute autre condition figurant à cette colonne est respectée. « Bonnes pratiques industrielles » Labelling or packaging requirement (3) Subsection (1) does not exempt a food for which a standard is prescribed in Part B of the Food and Drug Regulations from the application of any labelling or packaging requirement that is set out in the standard. An emulsifying, gelling, stabilizing or thickening agent that is set out in col umn 1 of the List is exempt from the appli cation of section B.16.100 of the Food and Drug Regulations if, at the time of sale, all of the other requirements in those Regula tions that apply in respect of the agent are met. 3.
