Interpretation Définition Definition of Agreement Définition de Entente 2 In this Act, Agreement means the Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement between Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada and the Gwich’in, as represented by the Gwich’in Tribal Council, signed on April 22, 1992, tabled in the House of Commons for the Minister of Indi an Affairs and Northern Development on November 16, 1992, and includes amendments made from time to time pursuant to the Agreement. 2 Dans la présente loi, Entente désigne l’Entente sur la revendication territoriale globale des Gwich’in, conclue entre Sa Majesté la Reine du chef du Canada et les Gwi ch’in, représentés par le Conseil tribal des Gwich’in, si gnée le 22 avril 1992 et déposée devant la Chambre des communes au nom du ministre des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien le 16 novembre 1992, ainsi que toutes ses modifications. Agreement Entente Agreement Entente 4 (1) The Agreement is hereby approved, given effect and declared valid. 4 (1) L’Entente est approuvée, mise en vigueur et décla rée valide. Idem Idem (2) For greater certainty, where the Agreement confers on any person or body a right, privilege, benefit or power, requires any person or body to perform a duty or subjects any person or body to a liability, that person or body may exercise the right, privilege, benefit or power, shall per form the duty or is subject to the liability to the extent provided for by the Agreement. Orders and regulations Décrets et règlements 6 The Governor in Council may make such orders and regulations as are necessary for the purpose of carrying out the Agreement or for giving effect to any of the provi sions thereof. 6 Le gouverneur en conseil peut prendre les décrets et règlements nécessaires à l’application de l’Entente ou de telle de ses dispositions.
