Powers Pouvoirs Powers Pouvoirs 4 (1) To carry out the purpose of this Act, the Minister may, on behalf of Her Majesty, (a) acquire, hold or dispose of or otherwise deal with shares, debentures or other securities of, or any secu rity interest in, any fishery enterprise; (b) pledge, hypothecate or charge any share, deben ture or other security, or other security interest, ac quired or held under paragraph (a); and (c) enter into any agreement or arrangement neces sary or incidental to any activity referred to in para graph (a) or (b). 4 (1) À cette fin, le ministre peut, pour le compte de Sa Majesté : a) acquérir, détenir ou céder les actions, obligations ou autres valeurs, ou les sûretés d’une entreprise, ou effectuer toute autre opération à leur égard; b) donner en gage, nantir ou grever les actions, obli gations ou autres valeurs, ou les sûretés d’une entre prise, acquises ou détenues sous le régime de l’alinéa a); c) conclure tout accord ou arrangement jugé utile sur l’une ou l’autre des opérations visées aux alinéas a) et b). Disposal of interest Dessaisissement (2) The Minister shall dispose of such portion of any in terest in a fishery enterprise acquired under paragraph (1)(a) as is practicable after the enterprise becomes, in the opinion of the Minister, economically viable on a con tinuing basis. Guarantees Garanties 6 (1) To carry out the purpose of this Act, the Minister may, with the approval of the Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, on such terms and conditions as the Minister specifies, guarantee the repayment of any portion of the principal and inter est owing on any loan made to a fishery enterprise. 6 (1) Avec l’approbation du gouverneur en conseil et sur la recommandation du ministre des Finances, le mi nistre, pour l’application de la présente loi, peut, aux conditions qu’il détermine, garantir le remboursement, total ou partiel, du principal et des intérêts d’un prêt consenti à une entreprise. Limitation on loans guaranteed Plafond (2) The aggregate amount of guarantees given under this section that are outstanding at any one time shall not ex ceed one hundred million dollars. 1980-81-82-83, c. 172, s. 6. Report Rapport Annual report Rapport annuel 8 (1) The Minister shall cause to be laid before each House of Parliament, not later than the fifth sitting day of that House after the first day of June next following the end of each fiscal year, a report with respect to the ad ministration of this Act in that fiscal year. 8 (1) Au plus tard le cinquième jour de séance de chaque chambre du Parlement suivant le 1er juin, le mi nistre fait déposer devant elle un rapport sur l’applica tion de la présente loi au cours de l’exercice précédent.
