11 'aterworks [CAP. 34:03 WATERWORKS (PRESCRIBED CHARGES) ORDER ( l st October, I 962) SE'.CTION I. Citation 2. Charges ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS G.N.18, 1962. 1. This Order inay be cited as the V•latcrworl;s (Prescribed 'Charges) Citation Order. 2. The charges set out hereunder shall be paid within the Franeistown Charf;es Township. With effect from the l st October, l 962, the charges set out hereunder shall be pa id within the Francis town township (a} the charge to be paid by any consumer per unit of quantity of water supplied through a meter installed to serve the consumer's premises shall be 4-0c per thousand gallons; (b) the minimum charge to be paid by any consumer for water so supplied shall be R2 per month or part of'a month during which the premises of such consumer remain connected to the main water supply; :c) the rent to be paid for a water meter installed after 1st October, i 962, by the Francistown Town Council shall be R20 and shall cover the whole of the period during which such meter remains so installed: Provided that where the cost of installing a meter is g-reater than R20 the rtnt to be paid in respect of such meter shall be equal to the cost of such installation; (d) the charges incurred by any consumer under the provisions of paragraphs (a} and (b) shall be paid by a consumer within fifteen days of the rendering by the Francistown Town Council of an account therefor. The rental to be paid in terms of paragraph (c) in resptct of any meter to be installed after 1st October, I 962 shall be paid on the approval of the fittings and pipes leading from the consumtr's premises to the point of connexion with the meter. AH consumers receiving a supply of water on the 1st October, 1962 shall pay a deposit as follows Premises used mainly for domestic purposes, or subject Lo the exceptions listed below, as business or trading prtmists - R 6,00 Industrial premises - RI 0,00 Premises where the business of a motor garage is carried on - RI 0,00 Hotel premises -- R30,00 Premises where the business of a butchery is carried on - R30,00 Such deposits shall be paid before 21st October, 1962. The deposit to be paid by all persons who apply for the installation of a meter aft~r I st October, l 962, shall be as above and shall be paid at the time when the rental for the meter is paid. All charges, rents and deposits becoming due in terms of this notice shall be payable to and be paid to tJ1e Francistown Town Council. l.R.Oc 1/1976 A.l
