Amendment of rule 3 of the Constitution (Sub. Leg.) 3. Amendment of rale 10 of the Rules IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred on the Ntlo ya D ikgosi by section 83 of the Constitution and with the approval of the President, the following Rules are hereby made — 1. These Rules may be cited as the Rules o f Procedure of the Ntlo ya Dikgosi (Amendment) Rules, 2015. 2. The Rules of Procedure of the Ntlo ya Dikgosi are amended under rale 3 by substituting for that rale, the following new rule 3 — “Election of 3 . ( 1 ) There shall be a Chairperson and a Deputy Chairperson Chairperson Qf the Ntlo ya Dikgosi who shall hold office for a period of two and Deputy and half years from the time of election into the office. airperson (2) Whenever either office is vacant, the Ntlo ya Dikgosi shall proceed immediately to the election of a Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson, or either office, as the case may be, following the procedure set out in the Second Schedule,7’. (3) A person so elected as Chairperson or Deputy Chairperson shall hold office until — (a) he or she resigns such office in writing to the Secretary; (b) he or she ceases to be a member of the Ntlo ya Dikgosi; or (c) his or her term of office comes to an end. 3. The Rules are amended by substituting for rule 10 (1), the following new subrule — “(1) A quorum of the Ntlo ya Dikgosi shall consist of not less than two thirds of the members excluding the Chairperson.”.
