ANY AMENDMENTS THAT MAY COME INTO OPERATION AFTER THAT DATE ARE NOT INCLUDED. 1. CITATION These Regulations may be cited as the Food Standards Regulations. (See backnote 1) 2. COMMENCEMENT These Regulations shall come into operation on the commencement of the Food Act 1986. (See backnote 1) 3. DEFINITION In these Regulations, "Food Standards Code" means the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code within the meaning of the Australia New Zealand Food Authority Act 1991 of the Commonwealth. 4. CODE ADOPTED AS LAW OF TERRITORY (1) The Food Standards Code is hereby adopted as a law of the Territory, and shall have effect as if its provisions were regulations incorporated in these Regulations. (2) If there is conflict between a provision of the Food Standards Code and of the Food (Interim Provisions) Regulations or, as the case may be, the Weights and Measures (Date-Marking of Pre-Packaged Foods) Regulations in respect of the application of any of those provisions to food, the provision of the Food Standards Code shall prevail.
